The problem with current thinking (one of them) is that veracity can be defined by the existence and confirmation of sources, rather than the credibility of sources.
I’m not sure where I stumbled on the above, but it makes a ton of sense. Many of the recent books about the Trump Presidency are well researched and documented and the stories presented have been confirmed by multiple sources. But many of these sources have their own axes to grind and their own reputations to protect.
I guess the best thing to do is take everything with a grain of salt, particularly the more far-fetched items.
